Swedish carmaker Volvo has unveiled the XC Coupe Concept ahead of its scheduled debut at Detroit Motor Show. Possibly foreshadowing the replacement for the XC90, the Volvo XC Coupe Concept is one of the latter, featuring only two doors but a full four seats.
The sporty crossover features a rugged, utilitarian design with a hatchback roofline, knobby tires, a high ride height and lower body cladding. Its front end clearly borrows styling cues such as an aggressive bumper, an elegant radiator grille with floating horizontal slats and T-shaped headlights from the Concept Coupé that bowed in Frankfurt last September.
What lurks under the show car’s hood was not revealed, we need to wait for Detroit Motor Show debut for more details.
