Unveiled at the 2014 SIHH, the Rotonde de Cartier Earth and Moon timepiece represents the high quality craftsmanship that comes with anything the brand puts out. The watch owes its name to the stylized portrayal of the globe and the moon represented by a tourbillon.

Delicate and beautifully designed, this watch features a posh platinum case with a diameter of 47mm and 16.65 mm thickness. The dial is created of lapis lazuli and features a platinum grid in the form of the Roman numerals for the dial. At 12:00, there is a platinum rendition of Earth, with an aperture above it for the moonphase indication. The tourbillion sits at the bottom of the watch balancing the design nicely.  The complex timepiece houses the Calibre 9440 MC—with 362 parts and 40 jewels. The watch is finished with an alligator strap and is water-resistant to 30 meters.

Only 50 of these will be made and they will be sold for a whopping $275,000.
