Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome has unveiled its first skeleton timepiece, the Orbital Skylab. The Orbital Skylab watch, named for NASA’s first space station and celebrating the 40th anniversary of its launch.
The Skylab features a stainless steel case measuring 44mm ; It has double sapphire crystals and it is water resistant to 30 meters. Powered by a Swiss automatic Romain Jerome caliber RJ004-M with 28,800 vph, this unique automatic offers 48 hours power reserve. According to the manufacture, each watch contains material from the Apollo 11 mission on the bezel.
The timepieces completes the look in addition with a black leather calf skin strap. Available in three options – ‘Speed Metal’, ‘Heavy Metal’ and ‘Red’ – each model is limited to 99 pieces and the prices starts from $16,950 USD at selected RJ-Romain Jerome retailers worldwide.
